Abstract

The generated sludge during regular water treatment processes is one of the most important residues of the water treatment plants, which is produced daily in the noticeable amounts. The main purpose of this study is feasibility study of discharging this sludge into municipal wastewater system containing the wastewater collection and transmission network and the treatment plants, with the aim of its effective environmental management via prohibiting its direct discharge into the environment in one hand, and benefiting its advantages in the mentioned system.
